  The Process

In need of septic-related construction? This includes, but is not limited to, jobs like complete system installations, water treatment discharge systems, and tank or leaching field replacement. Look no further than Skips Wastewater Services.

We work closely with each customer throughout the whole process to give updates, answer questions, and keep them involved every step of the way. One of our 3 project managers is assigned to the property’s project, from beginning to end. The project manager will discuss the potential options and design and plan that best suits the property.

Soil Testing

A project manager examines your property’s soil with the local health department. Soil testing determines critical components in the design of your system.

Design Plan

Our project managers have years of experience to design the most cost-effective plan while meeting the State of Connecticut’s required criteria.

We have experienced crews and the proper equipment to complete any job. On average, our full system installations take about two – three days from start to finish.

Finished Lawn

Once complete, we will grade your property to your liking and laydown grass seed. It’ll look like we were never there, and you’ll have a new septic system that will last years to come!

There are many questions that can arise when considering septic installations. Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions. If you do not see your question here, please call our main office at 860-875-2332.

How much is a new system?

It varies widely depending upon what is needed for your household and water usage, but can run anywhere between $10,000 to $30,000.

Can I replace just one component of my septic system?

Yes. Just because one component of the system is failing does not mean that the whole system needs to be replaced. Oftentimes, Skips can replace a single component of a system in just one day. A septic inspector or project manager will be able to determine which components in the system are malfunctioning.

How long does a septic installation take?

On average, Skips completes a full system installation in 2-3 days. However, this varies based on the complexity and size of the job.

Can I stay at home during a septic system installation?

Yes, you can stay in the comfort of your own home during a septic installation. Skips Wastewater Services coordinates each job appropriately to limit the time frame that you should cease water use.
