In April of 2014, Wastewater Services purchased Skips Septic and its portfolio of around 20,000 customers, becoming Skips Wastewater Services. Meet the Owner – Andrew Coleman
Skips Wastewater Services is owned and operated by Andrew Coleman. Growing up in Ellington he spent his summers as a teen working around the Skips property, mowing the grass, picking weeds and learning as much as he could from the mechanic and pump truck drivers. After a few years at Central CT State University he realized that a hands on, physical job was for him. Returning to Skips he obtained his CDL, drove pump trucks and installed septic systems.
Andrew started his own company, Wastewater Services, in the fall of 2005 at the age of 23. Working with a pickup truck and an old pump truck he took on any job he could get his hands on. Andrew purchased Skips in 2014 and has continued to grow the business, expanding Skips Wastewater’s reach across CT. His passion for septic systems, hard work and satisfying customers enables Skips to remain the leader in the septic service industry.
Andrew resides in Bolton with his wife Joy, daughter Kennedy, and their dogs, Teal and Huey.

1958
Skips Septic Tank Service is started by Peter Skipper out of his farm in Ellington, CT.
1978
Skips is purchased by Peter's son-in-laws - Tom Walker and Don Flint.
1983
As Tolland County grows, Skips does too. The fleet includes a John Deer Backhoe, Bulldozer, Dump Truck and a 3,000-gallon Kenworth pump truck. Skips expands its services to provide drain cleaning.
1994
Skips continues to grow and update its fleet, adding a 4,000-gallon Kenworth pump truck.
1998
Andrew Coleman starts working for his uncles at the age of 16.
2003
Skips now has 3 pump trucks, an installation crew and a pump chamber and drain cleaning division.
2005
Andrew leaves Skips and starts Wastewater Services, Inc.
2010
Wastewater Services now has a small fleet and 10 employees.
2014
Wastewater Services purchases Skips Septic, becoming Skips Wastewater Services.
2017
Skips Wastewater Services starts updating the fleet while expanding through Connecticut. The office goes paperless to offer digital files and reports to its customers.
2019
Skips Wastewater Services opens a satellite office in Waterford CT to better serve growing demand by the shoreline.
2024
Skips Wastewater Services purchases Septic Works - a trusted septic service compnay out of Old Lyme, CT.
2025
Skips Wastewater Services purchases the septic divison of Olsen's Saitation, a trusted waste removal company in Chester, CT.
